Two-day Pshavi-Khevsureti

Pshavi is a small historic region of northern Georgia, nowadays part of the Mtskheta-Mtianeti Region. The famous Georgian writer Vazha-Pshavela was born in this region, and lived in the village of Chargali. The second region of the tour, Khevsureti, is also a historically noteworthy region in eastern Georgia. The village of Shatili is located here, and is one of the most splendid and unique monuments of Georgian architecture, from the X-XI centuries, and is also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. There are also other sights to see in Kevsureti, such as the Burial Vaults of Anatory, along the Arghuni River Gorge, and the late Middle Ages Mutso Fortress village, located on three terraces of complex terrain, which was a historically defensive area, guarding access to the Khevsureti region (the area is at an altitude of 1,880m above sea level).
