Three Unforgettable Days in Svaneti

Beautiful, wild and mysterious, Svaneti is an ancient land-locked region in the northwest of Georgia. Surrounded by the white-capped peaks of the Greater Caucasus range, Svaneti is the highest inhabited area in the Caucasus. In ancient times, Svaneti was part of the Kingdom of Colchis. The myth of the Greek Argonauts’ voyage to Colchis is believed to be associated with the gold of Svaneti, since the people of Svaneti use sheep wool to collect gold from various rivers.
